New Salem Records Eight Property Transfers, Only One Discloses Sale Price
New Salem recorded eight property transfers between Aug. 14 and Sept. 12, but only one, the Sept. 8 sale of 190 Neilson Road, disclosed a price: $60,000, which also serves as the period's price range and median. Five of the eight deeds involved a bank or mortgage entity as buyer or seller, and Neilson Road saw two separate transfers. One deed moved property between family members into a trust, and a parcel with no listed address changed hands with a state conservation agency as seller. With price data available for only one of eight transactions, the dataset does not support a broader read on market conditions this period.
