Six October deeds in New Salem, but only two carry a price so far

New Salem recorded six property transfers in October, but only two had posted a sale price by month's end: $133,000 at 9 Hunt Rd and $250,000 at 105 West St, the month's top sale.

New Salem recorded six property transfers in October, but only two had posted a sale price by month's end: $133,000 at 9 Hunt Rd and $250,000 at 105 West St, the month's top sale. The remaining four transactions, on West Street, Neilson Road, Wendell Road and Elm Street, show price not yet available in registry records. With just two priced sales, there isn't enough data for a reliable median. Several buyers and sellers this month were banks, credit unions or mortgage-related entities, including UMassFive College Federal Credit Union and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. Overall market tone can't be firmly characterized given the limited pricing data available so far.
