Agricultural Commission plans fall events and garden repairs

NEW SALEM — Agricultural Commission sets fall events and garden repairs. The commission scheduled Old Home Day for September 12 on the Common with Sue Cloutier leading preparations and Devorah Roliski assisting. Carol Hillman will coordinate fall and winter programs including a bees workshop at David Gothier's garden and an early March gardening techniques seminar from Seeds of Solidarity.
Richard Nicol will coordinate with the Tech School Building Trade program on community garden shed repairs using available town account funds. The commission discussed inviting commercial farms and local growers to events and potentially developing a public farm tour.
