New Salem sets May 11 date for Annual Town Meeting

New Salem Selectboard sets May 11 Annual Town Meeting date and funds building deficit. Chaired by Susan Cloutier, the board unanimously approved $10,000 in deficit spending for Building Maintenance to cover near-term costs including a solar panel repair estimated at over $5,000 to be pursued as a capital request for the May 11 Annual Town Meeting. The board also unanimously authorized Town Coordinator Emily Hill to apply for EOHLC Housing Choice Designation, which could unlock future grant funding for housing initiatives in the town.
