New Salem Selectboard unanimously approves Fire Department pay adjustments to match Wendell. The board unanimously approved pay rate adjustments for Junior Firefighters through Officer EMTs, costing approximately $4,000 to address a roughly $2-per-hour wage gap with comparable positions in Wendell. The board also unanimously adopted a Sustainable Purchasing Policy to enable DEP grant eligibility and approved a revised Intermunicipal Agreement with Wendell.

Member Mailande DeWitt announced she will not seek reelection due to a conflict with her employment at Orange District Court.
