Board of Health closes hearing on 22 West Street repair

NEW SALEM — Board of Health closes continued hearing for 22 West Street. Health Inspector Jason O'Brien reported that furnace and oil tank installation will be completed by February 12, with re-inspection scheduled for February 13, prompting the board to unanimously close the hearing. Chair Jenny Potee reported on Transfer Station winter weather closures due to extreme cold affecting compactors, with all closures announced in the New Salem News and recommended by Franklin County Solid Waste Management District.

Board member Patrick Temple reported progress on a camera project for the Transfer Station, noting that a wired system is favored to avoid subscription costs.
