Selectboard approves fee schedule updates

New Salem Selectboard approves fee schedule updates aligned with inflation. Building Inspector Phil Harris explained the increases to the Building and Wiring Permit Fee Schedules bring the town in line with inflation and surrounding communities. Both schedules were approved unanimously.

The board also unanimously expressed strong support for Highway Superintendent Colin Killay following a contentious April 21st information session, discussed appointing a moderator for future meetings, and authorized Town Coordinator Emily Hill to expedite development of a comprehensive discrimination and harassment policy covering all legally protected categories with required annual employee acknowledgment.
