Finance Committee sets Free Cash at $61,000 for annual meeting

New Salem Finance Committee unanimously approves $61,000 Free Cash for Article 4. At its Monday meeting, the committee set the Free Cash allocation at $61,000 for the annual town meeting Article 4, positioning the budget under the levy by $32,102. Chair Gabriele Voelker moved the approval; members Dara LaPlante and Claire McGinnis voted yes.
The committee also unanimously recommended a Bylaw change to the meeting. The surplus leaves resources available for unexpected fall expenses.
